J. Christopher Stevens’ Murder – “Just a Bump in the Road!”

By Richard H. Frank

Once again, Barack Obama has shown his true colors proclaiming on “60 Minutes” that the “criminal” assault on the Libyan Consulate that resulted in the assassination of Ambassador Stevens was just a “bump in the road” along the path to achieving democracy in the Middle East.  A President that ignores the obvious fact that the attack was a coordinated terrorist assault upon the United States on the anniversary of 9/11 is either living in some alternative universe or is just plain perpetrating a lie in order to shift responsibility for his lack of leadership and failed policies to some obscure video that allegedly insults the Prophet Mohammed.

Then on Tuesday September 25, the President addressed the UN General Assembly and used the biography of Ambassador Stevens as the introduction to his remarks leading to placing the blame for Mid-East violence against our interests on the video, asserting our Government had nothing to do with the production.

Barack Obama, the Narcissist-in-Chief, ignores his responsibility to meet with leaders of the world but takes time to appear on The View where he proclaimed his presence to be “eye candy” for the show.  Does this man have any respect for the dignity of the Office he holds?  I think it is time we judge Barack Obama not by his words alone, but by his actions, or lack of action.

Three and one-half years after assuming the Office, we are witnessing Obama’s “fundamental change” in America.  Chronic unemployment, record foreclosures, 8.2% drop in household income and a loss of 40% in the net worth of the average American.

Yet Obama continues to champion deficit spending and trillion-dollar increases in the National Debt in the name of “fairness” to correct a stagnant economy for which he assumes no responsibility.

As to his dismal record, he and  his supporters have only one response.  That response is to blame George W. Bush.  Somehow, I cannot find George W. Bush on the ballot anywhere in America and think it is time for the Democrats to run on their own record.

Given the reality of domestic and foreign policy today under Barack Obama, it is unbelievable that he would lead Mitt Romney in any poll concerning the 2012 Presidential election.

Should you believe the murders of J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans are “just a bump in the road” resulting from Obama’s foreign policy, I hope we never hit a pothole along that road.  That “pothole” is coming into focus in the form of Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon and having to take sides with Israel to prevent their ultimate achievement of that goal.  What will Obama do when Israel takes the initiative to protect their people from a country that has sworn to wipe them off the face of the earth.  I’m sure he will find a way to spin the situation and place the blame directly at the feet once again of George W. Bush.

The time has come to fire Obama and return this Country to the path of assuring respect for the principles and values that have made America the greatest Country in the history of the World.

America-At the Mercy of the Middle East Islamic Fanatics

by Richard H. Frank

The Islamic extremist faction in the Middle East has turned Obama’s Arab Spring into a charade using the guise of seeking democracy to suppress freedom and impose Sharia Law upon the oil-producing countries in the region.

Those of us old enough to remember the oil embargoes of the 1970s imposed by OPEC understand that our nation’s economy and national security is dependent upon the continuing flow of “black gold” or crude oil from the Middle East.  Unfortunately, over the past 40 years we have chosen to elect representatives to Government that have failed to understand this reality or have caved to the special interests and placed achieving energy independence as something only worthy of lip service.

Only when the price of a gallon of gasoline places a financial burden on the average American do politicians suddenly become indignant over the public protests and seek to place the blame on everything but their own inaction to clear the path to achieving energy independence.

Barack Obama and his Administration of academic neophytes believe that they can appease the radical factions rising to power in the Middle East through diplomatic appeasement.  The events over the past three days with attacks upon our Consulate in Libya resulting in the death of four Americans and the breach of our embassies in Egypt and Yemen have come as a rude awakening to Obama and his Administration.  President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton both know the devastating impact that the cutoff of Mid East oil will have upon the economy and the security of this nation.  That is why they are so adamant in placing the blame for the attacks upon a “YouTube” video allegedly mocking the Prophet Mohammed.

Obama, 53 days before the election, will do nothing that will inflame the Middle East governments of Islamic oil-producing nations and is prepared to apologize and capitulate to their demands however onerous.  That is why he will not withhold aid in the billions of borrowed dollars to these countries under the guise of helping these fledgling governments to take hold as democracies in the Middle East.

The Islamic fanatics such as the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood have Obama by the balls and he will cave to their demands as soon as they apply the slightist pressure.  Obama’s foreign policy in the Middle-East oil-producing countries is in shambles and the boot of the Middle East oil producers is placed firmly upon the neck of the United States as a direct result of the Obama Administration’s failed foreign policies and with respect to achieving energy independence.

Should these oil-producing countries limit their exports to the United States or increase the price of crude oil to extreme levels they will bring this Nation to its knees in a few short months.

Civil unrest, the likes of which never before experienced in this Country would result, even as we contemplated having to go to war to protect our national interests in the oil-producing regions of the Middle East.

Once again, America appears to be the sleeping giant that must be awakened and jarred into taking action to protect ourselves.  The time to wake up has long past and the incompetent leadership in Washington continues to flounder about in endless debate on what to do and how to preserve this Republic.

Whether we realize it or not, America is at the mercy of the Middle East Islamic fanatics holding sway in positions of power inside unstable governments.  Should we fail to act they will drain our financial system and strength by regulating the flow of life-giving oil at devastating prices while simultaneously creating civil turmoil within our civilian population.

Obama is a dogmatic ideologue and will not confront the crisis head on but insists that his policies will solve the Middle East uprisings.  He is wrong and the only solution to the pending crisis is to replace Obama in November and assume a position of strength through new leadership in the White House and Congress dedicated to the proposition of negotiation through strength and quickly achieving energy independence from the Mid-East oil-producing countries.

Time is running out and we can ill-afford four more years of Barack Obama and his failed policies.

Putting Congress to the Test Again

by Richard H. Frank

In the 234 year history of America no administration has ever been as much out of touch with the citizenry as is the Obama Administration.  The Carter Administration was inept at governance.  The Obama Administration, on the other hand, is intentionally forcing their statist political ideology and agenda in a calculated plan to destroy our Representative Republic.  Each and every initiative taken by this Administration is opposed by the majority of the electorate.  The statistics don’t lie:

  • Obamacare opposed by 60% of the people.
  • Cap and Trade opposed by 70% of the people
  • The Stimulus Legislation viewed by 94% of the people as a failure
  • Immigration Reform opposed by 65% of the people instead of the alternative of enforcement of the current laws
  • Most recently, signing of the START Treaty for nuclear arms reduction opposed by 55% of the people.

Now we are facing the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice to replace John Paul Stevens.  Obama has publicly stated he will appoint a candidate that supports the law and  will reflect the “Will of the People” when making decisions.  Notice he failed to mention “upholding, protecting and defending the Constitution.”

Certainly Obama has not walked the talk when it comes to supporting  the Will of the People.  The Senate must exercise their power of advice and consent carefully as they debate any and all nominations made to fill vacancies to the Supreme Court.

Obama’s pledge to “fundamentally change America” is a pledge for European-style socialism and eventually Marxism.  If the vision of the Founders is to be maintained, a balance for equal powers within our Government is essential.  The chains of the Constitution were broken with adoption of the 17th Amendment where the states’ influence on the Senate was virtually abolished.  Now we rely upon the Supreme Court to interpret the Constitution in a manner that sustains the balance of power intended as enumerated in our Constitution.

“We the People” must make our voices heard with regard to letting the Senate know our concerns and support for upholding the principles and values enumerated in the Constitution and not political ideology of any party or special interest.  We also must remind them that this is a lifetime appointment and not a mistake that can be correct in the next election.  Remember “We the People” are the ultimate authority and sovereigns in our Representative Republic.  If the Senate violates their oath to uphold the Constitution by either ratifying this new START Treaty without analyzing the full consequences or by confirming a Supreme Court replacement that does not represent the will of the “People”, vote them out of office.  Our memories must not be short.  We must hold our elected representatives responsible at the ballot box.
