Disdain for Americans and Military Once Again on Display

by Jayne Frank

I watched with sadness as we started our “air strike campaign” against ISIS terrorists in Syria last evening; sad because it should have been done a year ago and also sad because this action is going nowhere without a decisive plan by this President to get these terrorists on the ground. Referred to as “cockroaches” this morning by a military commentator, ISIS and other terrorists will just move from place to place after bombing strikes and who is going to go after them?

This morning, late again as usual and anxious to “get out of Dodge” Barack Obama came to the White House microphone for less than 5 minutes and with all the resolve and patriotism of a gnat. So ashamed was I of his dispassion and his obvious disgust that he was dragged into doing something by the Military. There was not an ounce of genuine caring for the American people in his man’s voice. He is now on his way to the UN where he feels much more at ease trying to be the leader of everyone else’s country.

The only thing I got out of his speech was the veiled reference to “we work better when we work together” which was a reference, I believe, to the at least 5 Generals in our Military who have stated that this air campaign is doomed to fail unless we back our airmen up with Intelligence on the ground with American Special Operations troops.

The mid-term elections will be a resounding disapproval vote against Barack Obama’s foreign and domestic policies, and in 2016 Americans will make sure another Alinsky-inspired Democrat does not again get placed in the highest Office in our land. I just hope that what we all fear does not come true that ISIS wins over this current meager fight of ours against terrorism.

Put Your Pen Down, Mr. President and Get to Work!

by Jayne D. Frank

I thought Barack Obama’s State of the Union address was contrived and full of grandiose rhetoric in 2013; however, that will pale in comparison to what we hear in this month’s SOTU address. Why? Quite simply, nothing the President ever says or promises becomes a reality. He had now prefaced his upcoming speech with “I have a pen and I have a phone” in which to get things done [because Congress is the problem].

Here are your words and promises from 2013:

1) “Together we have cleared away the rubble of crisis and … the state of our union is stronger.” Really! We have the highest level of poverty, higher number of people out of the job market, and highest number of people on food stamps than ever before. Is this your idea of a strong economy?

2) You said “We should ask ourselves as a nation: How do we attract more jobs to our shores.” One answer would be to resolve the problem of the millions of good-paying jobs that have been lost during your Administration. Your have used your pen, your failed Obamacare law and your thousands of EPA regulations to completely eviscerate any gains that might have come about as a result of spending billions of dollars on “stimulating” the economy. If you truly meant what you said, you would use your pen and the power of your office to approve the XL pipeline from Canada, which has the approval of 69% of our Senators and every Governor along its proposed path, putting thousands of people to work in good-paying energy jobs and you would lift the strangehold of those EPA regulations which are keeping companies cash-strapped and unable to produce any new jobs in their industry. Get your foot off the throats of energy companies!

3) You were going to create three more urban manufacturing hubs and ask Congress to create a network of 15 of these hubs for the “next revolution in manufacturing right here in America.” How’s that working out for you since more and more urban cities in America are in or approaching bankruptcy? We have the highest corporate tax rate at present and coupled with these regulations I’ve mentioned, there will be no additional manufacturing until you stop your insanity.

4) How do we equip our people with the skills to get… jobs?” One method might be to stop “giving” welfare and other entitlements to people in exchange for staying home and not looking for work. Require drug tests and require completing additional schooling as a requirement of getting entitlements.

5) We need to “reinvigorate the middle class.” Well, Mr. President, the middle class HAS lost 40% of its wealth under your Presidency and I think that your “words” remain another promise unfulfilled. You cannot invigorate the middle class if Obamacare remains the law of the land and takes more wealth out of the middle class. You cannot invigorate the middle class if you keep “giving” their tax money to others that don’t want to work. And you can’t invigorate the middle class if your message is not one of hope and declaration that America is one of the greatest producing countries in the world. You cannot invigorate the middle class when you have declared your intentions time and time again to “redistribute the wealth.”

Missing from the 2013 State of the Union and most assuredly the 2014 SOTU speech will be any mention of the many failures of this Administration in the foreign policy arena that have put America’s state of the union in jeopardy. The reason is quite simple. You do not have a record of accomplishment in this area and in fact your apologetic and appeasement policies concerning America’s power and standing in the world have made you look like a bafoon in this area. You are also afraid that should you mention foreign policy, Americans will continue to bring up the fact that you and the Secretary of State were directly responsible for the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi because you failed to provide security to them as requested. Your positions on defending Israel, taking away Iran’s ability to produce a nuclear weapon and helping the millions of people suffering in Syria, are also deplorable.

Frankly, millions of Americans are poised to watch the 2014 State of the Union not to hear “hope” from you any longer. They will be watching you make a fool out of yourself once more. They will be counting and pronouncing your failures and lies once again. They will be hoping that the Supreme Court Justices and military commanders that usually witness this speech don’t come this year and bear witness to your criticisms, lies and disdain for them. You are a failure as a President and a Commander-in-Chief and it would behoove you to be humble, contrite and truthful to the America people in the 2014 State of the Union, but you won’t–you can’t help yourself!

Putin Unloads Obama’s Gun-Saves His Bacon!

By Richard H Frank

Russia’s President, in a classic move of one-up manship has out-maneuvered Barack Obama by convincing Syria’s President Assad to surrender his chemical weapons to the UN to avoid an attack by the U.S.

Following the G20 Conference where Obama was unable to garner any support for his proposed “unbelievably small” attack on Syria and was facing a devastating vote against proceeding by Congress, Putin provided a face-saving lifeline to Obama. Americans openly opposed Obama by two to one in every poll conducted.

As Congress returned from their recess and the votes were counted only 29 in the Senate and 24 in the House could be found as definitely in support of Obama. The Putin proposal saved Obama’s ass and the embarrassment associated with rejection by Congress.

Notwithstanding how Obama and the White House pundits may spin these developments as a victory for Obama, rest assured that the President would never allow a vote to go forward in Congress to approve his planned strike upon Syrian assets. A vote by Congress against Obama would surely effectively end his Presidency and he cannot allow that to happen.

When everything is said and done, Syria will retain its stockpile of chemical weapons And the slaughter will continue in their civil war.

So what have we learned about President Obama from all of this? The past month has confirmed that he and his administration are inept and unqualified to perform the responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief.

The winners in all of this kabuki theater will be Russia’s Putin and Syria’s Assad. Two or three years from now Syria will still be embroiled in their civil war and the world will be unable to confirm the existence of WMDs.

To borrow a quote from Sarah Palin “Leave Syria’s destiny to Allah.”

Media Manipulation of Bin Laden Death!

by Richard H. Frank

The national news media in the United States is intent on setting the agenda of importance for news commentary for the American public.  The editors of reported stories in today’s 24-hour/7 day reporting by both national, international and cable news outlets has created an atmosphere of creative, speculative and entertainment reporting as opposed to presentation of fact.  Even Fox News that reports under the banner of “Fair and Balanced” has fallen into the trap of presenting the sensational and “one-upsmanship” in an effort to capture viewer ratings.

The latest example is the announcement of the killing of Osama Bin Laden on May 1, 2011.  Certainly this story carries a significant level of importance for the families of those killed in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, or Shanksville, PA as well as for those brave people who spent a decade in pursuit of this despicable terrorist.  Unfortunately, those persons that choose to politicize the killing for purposes of advancing their individual careers, ideology or personal gain as opposed to having served the principles of justice demean the accomplishment of America’s brave military personnel.

For the past three days, mainly due to the insatiable appetite of the media, we have set aside reporting on all major issues confronting this nation and focused on the killing much as with a continuing soap opera.

Little, if any, reporting has taken place regarding national disasters from fire, flood and tornadoes occurring here in the United States. What of the Government actions with regard to the 2012 budget, soaring deficits and the impending debt ceiling deadline?  Oil prices continue to soar resulting in record high gasoline prices that translate to punishing increased costs on the very survival necessities for life in America.

Emotionally the death of Bin Laden is something to be celebrated.  Practically, it does little, if anything, except create a martyr for terrorists to affect the war being waged against radical islamic terrorism.

The media loves to embrace the practice of distraction from the real issues facing America when it comes to the Obama Administration. The most recent examples are the week spent reporting on Obama’s long form birth certificate now followed by the incessant, unrelenting reporting on the Osama Bin laden attack and his subsequent death.

The media needs to pack it up and get on to reporting the important issues of the day.  Like it or not, following the liberation of Kuwait, President Bush “41”  ‘s approval ratings were in the 90% range.  Sixteen to 18 months later the dismal economy cost him reelection. The same forces are present today to a greater extent but are not reported by the media.  Distraction from the economic, fiscal and Constitutional issues are the agenda of the media.  Their attempt to manipulate the news will fail as the facts of continuing unemployment, deficit spending, the foreclosure crisis, high taxes, and soaring energy prices are felt by every American family.
