African Americans’ Real Enemy is this Administration

by Jayne Frank

Having sat through the entire Zimmerman trial with an open mind, my husband and I were not surprised at the verdict.  In a court of law, the jurors were charged with applying the law and that is what they did.  My personal feelings are that there are no winners in this because a young man’s life is gone and George Zimmerman will constantly be looking over his shoulder to protect his.  In the aftermath of the trial, the only people who will be able to heal are those like Trayvon’s mother who tweeted her plea to God to heal her soul; all of America connects with her and grieves with her.

Instead of moving forward though, the Obama Administration’s Justice Department and some Democrats like Al Sharpton, are bound and determined to take this country back into the 50’s.  Al Sharpton is calling for protests to take place on July 20 in 100 cities under the guise of honoring Trayvon and Eric Holder is said to be actually considering bringing a civil rights action against George Zimmerman.  Don’t forget where all of this started – in the Oval Office when President Obama said his son “would have looked like Trayvon” and then sent dozens of government people down to Orlando to put pressure on the prosecutors, the police department, the mayor’s office, the Governor’s office and the 4th Circuit Prosecutor’s office, all at taxpayers expense.  To insert himself in these proceedings so early on is a clear sign that he wasn’t the least bit interested in justice but in stirring up hostile feelings toward George Zimmerman.   Mr. Obama also was not interested in whether his actions resulted in protests.  Why?  The answer is chilling but very transparent.

The highest unemployment rate in this Country is among young African-Americans; our urban cities are decaying because of Obama’s anti-business policies.  And worst of all, the greatest oppression I have seen in my lifetime of blacks may be the huge monetary entitlements that this Administration is handing out to predominantly blacks.  These programs are helping to keep an entire class of people oppressed and dependent on the Government.  As a result, they have no jobs, no meaningful chance of moving upward economically, no dignity, and I imagine that this huge pool of unemployed African-Americans in this country is just ripe for protesting solely because of Barack Obama’s policies.

The Obama Administration knows full well how he has failed this country and his race.  And they know full well of the unrest in this country from all races  who are tired of this economy not recovering, so what does he do?  He distracts once again just like he did when they bungled the Benghazi crisis.  They are now propping up nationwide protests under the guise of honoring Trayvon Martin and it is a perfect scenario for him.  That way when the streets are full, he can say it was for reasons of dissatisfaction with the Zimmerman verdict and not because of his failings as a President and leader.

All of his friends like Eric Holder and Al Sharpton are eager to go along in this and I hope the huge number of African-Americans in this country who can see through what Obama is planning, will calm their communities and call for the President to put an end to any intervention in the results of the Trayvon Martin case.  I also hope that the FBI, who has already said that this case was not racial, will hold their President’s feet to the fire and stop this insanity.  Our country is made up of many different nationalities and races, but we are all one, and it is only as a united “one” that we will be able to turn around this Country to make it more prosperous, safe and admirable.

Eric Holder’s Double Talk Under Oath!

by Richard H. Frank

November 8, 2011 Attorney General Eric Holder appeared before the Senate Judicial Oversight Committee and testified under oath regarding the Justice Department and the ATF involvement in the “Fast and Furious” scandal.  For those of us having the stomach to endure over two hours of questioning by the Senate Committee and sort out serious inquiries from partisan rhetoric, I must conclude the exercise was a waste of time.

Following a lengthy statement by Holder listing the numerous achievements of the Obama Justice Department, he described “Fast and Furious” as a ill-conceived, poorly executed operation communicated within the DOJ through inaccurate information.  Specific questions from Senator Grassley were answered with typical Washington double talk and excuses including the following:

  • information was inaccurate as previously communicated in writing to the committee.
  • “Tactics” is the new buzz word to deflect responsibility for possession of knowledge about the operation.
  • “A few weeks” is now a substitute for describing months regarding  Holder’s knowledge of “Fast and Furious”
  • Holder contends he has acted in a “manner consistent with other Attorneys General.” Whatever that means.
  • He regrets actions of subordinates yet has held no one responsible.
  • DOJ personnel did not know information on “Fast and Furious” was inaccurate.
  • He denied any knowledge of “retaliation against whistleblowers.”
  • It “pains me” that private communications with Senator Grassley would be introduced as a question by the Senator in the hearing.
  • Holder refused to comment on details of any ongoing investigations.
  • “Political payback” was evident by inferring information being requested constitutes classified data.
  • “Fast and Furious” bothered, concerned and offended Holder. Holder refused to accept responsibility for “Fast and Furious” stating the AG cannot be expected to know details of ongoing operations by every department under the DOJ.
  • He stated that it was not fair to assume that “Fast and Furious” led to the death of Border Patrol Agent Terry, and readily admitted that he had never  personally spoken to Terry’s family.

Next the ever partisan Senator Schumer participated in the “blame game” contending that “Fast and Furious” had its genesis under the Bush Administration in the form of a program called “Wide Receiver.” His questioning placed the blame for walking guns over the border directly on the Bush DOJ and through inference directly on the Republican Administration although the program had been previously cancelled .

The real politically- driven agenda became apparent in answers to Senator Graham’s question about Guantanamo Bay and any possibility of closure, a  U.S. prison replacement or sequestering enemy combatants being held in either  Afghanistan or Iraq.  Holder’s answers were right down the Obama Administration’s talking points which are 1) all options were on the table, and 2) Administration decisions were being viewed from a practical viewpoint. Doesn’t anyone in the Obama Administration take responsibility for anything they do?

Our Founding Fathers would be aghast to see the divisiveness between the branches of Government, and the overreaching to the powers enumerated in the Constitution granted to those branches.

Viewing the Organizational Chart of the Department of Justice is a prime example of “Big Government” run amuck.  It becomes more evident each day that the individual states could do a better job of law enforcement than can our Federal Government.  We need to return to the principles under the 10th Amendment to the Constitution if the Republic is to survive.

Barack Obama-Post Racial President – In A Pig’s Eye

by Richard H. Frank

The mainstream media proclaimed that the election of Barack Obama to be President of the United States in 2008 ushered in a new era of post-racial politics in America.  Eighteen months into his presidency, we have witnessed our President accusing the Boston police of “acting stupidly” relative to the arrest of Professor Gates before having reviewed any facts associated with the incident.

This incident was followed closely by the Acorn scandal for voter fraud and alleged financing of housing for illegal purposes.  That investigation has been mysteriously abandoned with no explanation from the Justice Department.

Then we have the charge of “voter intimidation” by the “New Black Panthers” in the 2008 Philadelphia, PA election.  The default judgment against the defendant again was mysteriously dropped.

Now we learn of the alleged Justice Department policy not to pursue civil rights cases involving black crimes against whites.

Next, we learn Eric Holder is threatening to bring a second law suit against Arizona based on discrimination from racial profiling resulting from implementation of the law. Allegations of this type might be brought against any law and is ripe for fraud.

The Obama Administration, short of legislating reparations as such, for past crimes against minorities is pursuing the same result through redistribution of wealth which is the underlying agenda for all their proposed legislation.

The modus operandi for Obama is to divide and conquer.  First he has attacked the “haves” in the form of taxes to be redistributed to the “have nots” through increased entitlements (i.e., health care reform)  Next, he has attempted to set Hispanics against Whites by asserting that enforcement of immigration law by the states is racist.

His assertion that he only wishes to level the playing field  between the races lacks legitimacy as his policies have only served to destroy the free enterprise system, discourage job creation and ultimately bring more misery to all races in the middle class of America.  This, coupled with the moratorium on oil production in the Gulf of Mexico, will increase the burden on every economic sector in the  Country.

Chaos, mistrust between the races and vilifying business and the financial industry serves his agenda to pit people against people, race against race and government against free enterprise.  According to Obama  and the Democratic-controlled Congress, the answer to all the above  crises, real or fabricated, is more government intervention, oversight and control.

By his own admission Obama says our Constitution is fundamentally flawed and that civil rights’ law failed to properly address  redistribution in solving civil rights problems.  His policies are anything but “post racial” and his actions covertly inflame racial tensions largely eliminated over the past 40 years.  Post racial – No!  I expect his motives are to use racism as the means to achieve his agenda and are tearing this Country apart.

“Liberty and Justice for All!”- Not With Eric Holder as Attorney General

by Richard H. Frank

These words hardly seem appropriate today if the Obama Justice Department under the leadership of Eric Holder is allowed to pursue its recent course and ideology. Over the past 18 months we have witnessed a series of convoluted actions and statements that seem to turn our justice system inside out.

Enemy combatants and terrorists are afforded all the Constitutional protections afforded to American citizens.  Upon apprehension and questioning, they are mirandized and told they have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney. Admitted terrorists are being prosecuted in Civil Court as opposed to trial by military tribunal as has been the custom.  His refusal to acknowledge “radical Islam” as our enemy and “jihad” as war, not just a crime, shine a bright light on his ideology. Being politically correct is more important to Holder than is adherence to the law.

He is a strong proponent of closing Gitmo and interning those enemy combatants in U. S. prisons which would make them automatically subject to U.S. civil law.  Additionally, he has supported reopening the probe of the CIA enhanced-interrogation techniques as torture with the potential to prosecute the agents involved in such acts.

His position against pursuing charges against the Black Panthers in the 2008 Philadelphia elections, to launch a full Justice Department investigation of ACORN for voter fraud, coupled with his refusal to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate White House influence or interference with candidates for office during primary elections (Romanoff/Sestak) are all examples of his political leanings interfering with justice and the law.  Somehow the sum total of his actions point to racism tipping the scales of our blind justice in favor of minorities.

His statement that “America is a nation of cowards on racial issues” is very revealing in light of his actions over the past 18 months.  When he commented on Arizona’s illegal immigration law, he made no reference to its constitutionality but only upon its potential for racial profiling and infringing on a person’s civil rights.  I fear Attorney General Holder is guilty of racism of the highest order if the recent testimony of Christian Adams, a former Justice Department lawyer testifying before the Civil Rights Commission is true, that the Obama Administration’s policy was not to pursue black against white crime.

Now the Justice Department has filed suit against Arizona on the basis of the Constitution’s supremacy clause to stop enforcement of the law.  This in effect stops enforcement of the existing Federal law by a State.  How crazy and convoluted can this Administration get?  It’s not about the law to them.  It is all about politics and votes.   This is one case that when the Supreme Court rules, it should be unanimous against the Federal Government and in favor of Arizona.

In the interim, Holder should be preparing his Letter of Resignation and including an apology to the American people for his malfeasance while in office.
