Trump Takes A Stand!

By: Richard H. Frank

Americans now have an alternative to the once great Barnum and Bailey Circus which is no longer in existence. All we must do is tune our TV to C-SPAN and watch the House of Representatives oversight committee Chaired by Congressman Jerry Nadler. Since release of the Mueller Report Congressional Democrats have become paranoid with the never-ending quest to find something they can use to impeach President Trump. They will launch investigation after investigation to find some shred of evidence regarding the President, his family, staff and Cabinet appointees with which to finalize their silent coup. At best their search has been futile if not entertaining.

Today President Trump has had enough. Following Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s comments that Donald Trump is involved in a coverup, the President attended a previously scheduled meeting on infrastructure with Pelosi and Senator Schumer and announced that there would be no legislation approved so long as these scurrilous, unending investigations continued. He then proceeded to the Rose Garden and addressed the Press with a review of the two-year activities by Mueller’s Special Counsel team. He expressed his respect for Congressional oversight, the Department of Justice, and the Courts in conducting legitimate inquiries but not for harassment of the President and his Administration. His remarks were heated and represented the feelings of the majority of Americans regarding how the Democrats in Congress are abusing their power instead of legislating on behalf of the people they are supposed to represent.

Having failed to find anything that rises to the level of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” they have once again fallen back on their crusade of personal destruction casting a broad net over President Trump, his family and members of his Administration. I think the Democrats should take heed of the statement made by their hero Barack Obama when he told John McCain that elections have consequences. Should they pursue their present path to impeach the President and therefore halt his agenda they may feel the wrath of the voters come 2020.

Were the situation at our southern border and the need to address our flailing infrastructure and trade deficit not so crucial, the actions being pursued by the Democrats in the House of Representatives would make for a must see soap opera on television. Now is the time to get serious and begin to govern instead of unending investigations. Should this personal hatred for Trump persist and continue in the attempt for impeachment, or a silent coup the voters will settle this dispute between branches of Government one way or the other. In either case I don’t think the Washington elites and professional politicians will like the outcome.

The Deep State has been proven to exist and is populated with unelected bureaucrats doing everything to perpetuate their power and move this nation closer and closer to socialism. American voters must remain vigilant and protect against legislation that erodes our Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms and upholds the rule of law. The Progressives in Government, Local, State and Federal, are moving further and further away from the principles upon which this nation was founded. Sanctuary cities and states pass ordinances that restrict law enforcement and challenge the very tenets of the Constitution, i.e. the Electoral College, and supremacy clauses. “A nation divided cannot stand.”

Hillary Clinton’s Remarks Indicative of How Democrats Actually Feel About Women!

by Jayne D. Frank

Hillary Clinton is a woman hardened by being passed over for President and by the endless scandals caused by her husband’s philandering through their married life.  She is also shrewd and  manipulative; she has been able to use those “skills” to essentially make her way financially comfortable through her married life and career.  They have served her well from her time in the Governor’s mansion with her husband, in her Rose Law Firm, in the White House as First Lady and now as Secretary of State.  This is a woman who has spent years having people wait on her, do her bidding, run her  errands for her, and has not had to worry financially about her life at all.

So in this stagnant economy of high unemployment, broken families, children going hungry and husbands and wives stressed to the limit trying to pay their bills and keep their houses, what does Hillary Clinton have to say about women?  She just said she can’t stand whining” by women who are unhappy with the work and family choices they’ve made in life and complain that they have no options.”  With 23 million Americans currently without jobs and over 700,000 women having lost jobs under Obama, it is outrageous that Hillary Clinton would stoop to judge other women.  These women are in the middle class;  they are tired from having two jobs, of trying to make ends meet with over $4,000 less in their paychecks under Obama, where family net worth under the Democrats is 40% less than it was before.  These women often work two or three jobs, they clip coupons, organize ride-sharing because of the price of gasoline, and they worry every day about their homes, their children and their family’s future.

The middle class woman has sacrificed a great deal.  They don’t go to the hair salon so their kids can get their hair cut.  They haven’t bought themselves a new outfit for ages and often now shop at the local thrift shop for their family’s clothing.  Many families go without nutritious food because it is too expensive now, often sacrificing meat and better quality produce and vegetables in their family’s diets and substituting pasta meals or other dishes that can stretch two or three meals.  After all that they have to do during the day and evening, they often have no time for themselves at night and just have time to sleep and start all over again in the morning.  These women are plain tired of what Barack Obama and his Democrat administration have done to them and their families.  They have no options for now.  They take whatever work they can get or they can’t find work; there is no chance of bettering themselves because there is no “spare money” to learn another trade or pursue further education.  I am sure Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and all the rest of their administration does feel people are whining.  This is an Administration that has done nothing for women in the past 4 years and wants a chance to do nothing for another 4 more years.

These middle income women are the real heroes in my book.  Unlike women like Hillary Clinton who DO have “endless choices” as she says the “whiners”  have, middle class women don’t have maids, they don’t have people to run their errands and take care of all those “messy” things that Hillary Clinton doesn’t feel like doing every day.  They don’t have chefs coming in and preparing meals for them, and they don’t have an endless supply of money.  And they didn’t have nannies come in during their careers to take care of their only child so that they didn’t have to bother with it.  So if they want to whine about it, that is fine with me.  But those same women better wake up and realize that the only option they DO have is their vote on November 6 where they can elect a party that appreciates and respects women and their families and will make the next four years better for them.

Hillary Clinton said “money certainly helps and having that kind of financial “privilege” goes a long way.”  Being able to have a decent job and earn a decent paycheck isn’t a privilege and obviously the Democrats and Hillary Clinton are so targeted on redistribution of your money in this Country that they forget that our Founders guaranteed “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” to all – not just the few like Hillary Clinton.

Seniors and Older Adults – Obama is Playing You for Fools!

by Jayne D. Frank

Seniors, you have heard so many arguments about Obamacare and especially the argument from the Obama campaign that there really is nothing to the 12-person board established under Obamacare.  I will cut to the chase and make it clear and simple for you to understand with a few direct excerpts from the law:

  • The Board is established to make sure that “during the 10-year period after implementation, that there is no increase in total amount of net Medicare program spending.”  How on earth do you NOT severely hurt and ration care to existing Medicare patients when there are millions of new Medicare patients going on the program every year?
  • The Board is entrusted with the duty and mandate to “help reduce the growth rate” of Medicare.  Again, how do you reduce the growth of Medicare other than the options of rationing care, not paying your doctors to treat you, or throwing you out of the program?
  • The Board is to “improve healthcare delivery systems and health outcomes, care coordination, efficiency improvement.”  This board has been set up for no other reason than to take money from the Medicare system and give it to the Government to spend elsewhere on more “productive” citizens (to quote Barack Obama).
  • The Board is to look at direct subsidy payments to Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Programs.  Millions of seniors rely on Medicare Advantage and for Obama to say that these plans will not be affected is a direct lie to all Americans.
  • Qualifications for the Board are individuals with national recognition for expertise in health finance or economics, cost-sharing, etc.”  Do you honesty think those qualifications have anything to do with making sure you continue to receive good care from your doctor?
  • The Board “may accept gifts or donations…..”  Having previously worked for a Defense Contractor which barred us from receiving gifts or donations, do you think there is anything positive for seniors that would result from special interests getting direct access and favors from Board members?
  • Board members are to be given compensation (plus expenses) equal to Level III Executive Schedule Section 5315 Title 5 of U.S. Code salaries.  In looking up who presently gets this level of compensation from the taxpayers, the list is below:
Level III of the Executive Schedule applies to the following positions, for which the annual rate of basic pay shall be the rate determined with respect to such level under chapter 11of title 2, as adjusted by section 5318 of this title:
Solicitor General of the United States.
Under Secretary of Commerce, Under Secretary of Commerce for Economic Affairs, Under Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration, and Under Secretary of Commerce for Travel and Tourism.
Under Secretaries of State (6).
Under Secretaries of the Treasury (3).
Administrator of General Services.
Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
Deputy Administrator, Agency for International Development.
Chairman of the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Chairman, Federal Communications Commission.
Chairman, Board of Directors, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Chairman, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Chairman, Federal Trade Commission.
Chairman, Surface Transportation Board.
Chairman, National Labor Relations Board.
Chairman, Securities and Exchange Commission.
Chairman, National Mediation Board.
Chairman, Railroad Retirement Board.
Chairman, Federal Maritime Commission.
Comptroller of the Currency.
Commissioner of Internal Revenue.
Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.
Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller).
Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.
Do you possibly think that with a $16 trillion debt, that the American Taxpayer can afford to have its taxes increased , senior services cut and our Military cut to pay for Board salaries and perks equal to the offices above?
Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with a fair and economically feasible system which does not mandate and target takeover of our Nation’s healthcare system.  If you re-elect Barack Obama who has failed on every aspect of his job but has created the most disastrous piece of legislation of our generation, you will be responsible for changing healthcare quality as we know it.  Please get off your comfortable couches, rain or shine, tell your friends, and go to your polling place on November 6 to take back your healthcare!

The Real Truth about Obama’s “Truth Team”

by Jayne Frank

On a daily basis, the Obama campaign team emails all the millennials, blacks, Latinos and other “groups” that supported him in 2008 to deluge them with lies about Obama’s record and why he should be given another chance.  It would be funny if it were not so sad.

The most flagrant and dishonest email I have ever seen is the one yesterday that there are 5 truths that Obama wants people to “put on their refrigerator” and pass along to everyone they meet.   The Obama groupies are encouraged to spread Obama’s five truths as follows.  The real truth about each one of these points is highlighted in red thereafter.

1)  Romney is the most radically anti-women candidate in a generation having supported the ban on Planned Parenthood and supported a ban on some abortion procedures.

Truth:  Unlike the Democratic talking heads, Romney has never demeaned womanhood, either in the workplace or in his capacity as Governor.  He treats all women as equals as not “victims” which flies in the face of everything the DNC and the Democratic party stands for.  The Democrats must, in order to be re-elected, portray women in America as victims unable to get fair pay for their work (unless a law demands it), and as an entitled group that must be given contraceptives and abortive services for free as they wish.  They also now have demeaned stay-at-home moms as not being productive in society.  This from a man who stated in his past that he would support Muslims whose entire life is devoted to making women subservient and second-class people.  This from a man who, through his own economic policies, has made women one of the largest unemployed groups in  America and has  put back decades the ability for women to work hard and progress in the private-sector marketplace.

Knowing that the President of the United States represents all women of the U.S., not just the underprivileged, Romney supports NO FEDERAL FUNDING sent to Planned Parenthood.  We can’t afford it and Planned Parenthood can exist on private donations alone.

2)  Romney will repeal Obamacare.

You bet he will!  And he will have Congress replace it with a health care reform that will protect people with pre-existing conditions and make sure that doctors in America have the ability to treat their patients and not have to ration care for the less productive portions of our population (according to Obama), our precious seniors.  America is broke, has almost a $17 trillion deficit, and the Congressional Budget Office has already said that Obamacare will cost over $1.3 trillion more than the projected $1 trillion that was projected in the Legislation.  Quite truthfully, Obamacare is socialized medicine and will kill the quality of care for all Americans.

3)   Romney doesn’t have what it takes to be Commander-in-Chief because he shifts positions on foreign policy!

Are you serious?  This from a man who had zero experience to be qualified for this high office other than organizing community groups to protest inequality and to keep the entitlement system in place.   Due to his bowing to the entire world, continually apologizing for America, we are the laughing-stock of countries, especially in the middle east, who continually “test” Obama’s resolve.  I admit that Obama is steady in his foreign policy – he has none other than portraying America as a weak country not willing to stand up for its Allies or picking and choosing which human rights issues are worth taking a stand on.

4)  Romney’s economic plans would take more money from the middle class….

I won’t even finish this sentence because of the disgust this writer has for this repeated lie.  47% of Americans don’t pay taxes, and the top 1% of taxpayers pay almost 50% of the taxes in this Country.  There is nothing more to be said.  This President has made his 1st priority in his Presidency demeaning private sector success (unless it is from one of his wealthy donors such as a Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or Warren Buffet).  His own admitted policy as stated in his campaign was to “redistribute wealth.”  So why young people in this country would not see that there will be no opportunities under this Administration to work in the private sector and make a success of themselves financially, is beyond me.  Is sitting back and “taking” from our Government more satisfying than working hard and putting your hard-earned money in your pocket more satisfying?  I think not.

5)  Romney would end Medicare as we know it

Obama and the Democrats are once again resorting to the only tactics they know – trying to scare seniors, knowing that they are a very crucial voting block for the Presidential election.  The truth is that Medicare is on a downward spiral.  With millions of new baby boomers hitting the Medicare program each year, and with fewer and fewer people in the workforce able to pay into the Medicare system, Medicare WILL end as we know it with the help of Obama.   With a country in this much debt, the Medicare program must be overhauled so that our children and grandchildren have a program that will be there to supplement their medical care as well.  The perception is that there are seniors just waiting until they can get Medicare so they can then leech off the system for the rest of their lives.  In truth, seniors hate being forced into a Federally mandated medical health system and it is certainly true that the majority of us cannot survive off this benefits alone without spending a great percentage of our fixed income supplementing this Federal program.  Seniors are not stupid and we will overwhelming vote for a President, and a Congressional team, that is supportive of keeping benefits intact for seniors already getting Medicare, but who will lead and make the hard choices necessary to save Medicare for our kids and grandkids.

One of the most abysmal omissions in this emails is the effect that Obamacare will have on seniors’ healthcare.  You are starting to see rationing and decisions made by non-medical care boards within the Government on what care is appropriate and which procedures will be turned down, spiraling costs for our Medicare contributions that seniors are already making, and huge 30% increases for supplemental insurance that seniors must carry.   None of us, under Obamacare, are going to be allowed to see specialists if the “Board” thinks it is not warranted, and our own private doctors are being put in the position of either declining to see us anymore because of lack of payment under Medicare or because of the onerous regulations being placed on them under Obamacare.  Remember, under Obamacare, it is prohibited for you to pay for any procedure or doctor if you have the money to do so!  You bet Mitt Romney or any other Republican being elected to office will repeal this onerous legislation passed without a majority of Congress or the American people, and in the dark of night.

I know that some young people in this country see the President of our Country as a rock star – someone who feels their pain and can technologically keep up with them.  But I feel that is a huge minority, and that young people want the same prospects for their lives as I and my parents and grandparents had.  The prospect that if we worked hard,  persevered, and were good citizens and dedicated to our families, that the quality of life would be good for them and that life would be rewarding.  They are not willing to buy this “Bill of Goods” that the Obama administration is trying to sell, and that they will help elect a President in 2012 that is willing and able to put America back on the path to prosperity and freedom that I so enjoyed in my lifetime.

When Adolescents Govern!

by Richard H. Frank

It would appear that the 112th Congress has picked up where the 111th left off with one major difference.  That difference is now exemplified by the House and the Senate attempting to demonstrate which body possesses the bigger balls.  Like two tough guys feeling the effects of puberty and the rush of testosterone when confronted with something they do not like or agree with, they have drawn a line in the sand daring the other to step over and join their position for resolution of the matter.

The latest example has filled the news and talk shows as both Houses of Congress agree that an extension of the payroll tax holiday, extension of unemployment benefits and associated deferment for reducing payments to Medicare doctors must be passed.  The House of Representatives passed such a bill allowing these measures to continue for one and two years respectively.  The Senate, however, amended the House Bill to extend for 60 days during which time the Senate would tinker with language that they are not in agreement with.  Further, the Senate under direction of Harry Reid, refuses to participate in a conference committee to resolve the issues between the House and Senate versions of the Bill.  This even though such a measure is prescribed under the Constitution.  Instead, our elected Representatives have manufactured yet another crisis and elevated the blame game to a new level that accuses the other side of being the Scrooge or the Grinch as we approach the Christmas season.  In addition, we see a complete lack of leadership in our President as he Christmas shops with his dog instead of demanding that the Senate get back from their holiday and get the job done of passing a one-year extension.

How sad for our Country and stupid of the politicians to play their political games with an issue they supposedly all support.  let’s face it, this is just creating political fodder to demonize their opponents as we approach the 2012 general elections.

This childish display by the Congress in Washington may just be the catalyst for the elecctorate to clean house on both sides of the aisle in November, 2012.

Finding the Truth Obscured by all the Political Rhetoric

by Richard H. Frank

The political silly season is in high gear as we approach the 2012 general elections.  The attempt to affix blame for our current economic woes upon the opposing political party takes precedent over finding clear solutions to problems (legislated policies) that have accumulated for more than 70 years.  To make matters worse, we have an inexperienced President, Barack Obama, who has not the slightest clue as to how to solve the problems that have resulted in our nation accumulating over $14 trillion in debt, let alone some $60 trillion in unfunded entitlements.  Thus, he has returned to demonizing Wall Street, banks and the rich among us.

His latest stimulus “The American Jobs Act,” has failed due to non-support from Democrats within his own political party.  These defections from the flock of Obama followers recognize that more of the wrong medicine will not cure what ails this nation.  Yet our President has taken once again to the route of castigating Congress, specifically Republicans, for failing to understand  his proposed legislation and therefore will break the bill into smaller pieces in order to get it passed.

Unfortunately, the Republican candidates seem to lack a clear vision for solving our current situation.  They realize that jobs must be created in order to increase the flow of revenue to the Federal Treasury.  They acknowledge that only the private sector can create jobs that do not take from the Treasury as does those associated with more Government and regulation.  They also attest to the fact that Government must get out of the way of free market forces if we are to return to economic growth.  Additionally, they all agree that spending must be cut if we are to achieve fiscal stability and retire our national debt.  What to do is not the question, but how to do it is. Detailed plans from specific candidates are forthcoming and must address the 3 elements outlined below.

The current demonstrations against Wall Street and the rich are a reflection of the frustrations being felt across the nation.  However, these frustrations are misdirected and the demonstrations should be directed against Washington, D.C. legislators.  Left to their own devices the demonstrators have opened themselves to infiltration by Marxist, Communist influences that run contrary to the very founding principles of this nation.

The real solution to our economic problems touch every segment of American society and will be painful and must encompass each of the following elements.

  1. Reduce Government interference with the free market enterprise system.
  2. Stop deficit spending by our Federal Government through a balanced budget amendment.
  3. Abolish the existing tax code and replace it with a simple broad-based fair system unable to be manipulated by politicians in response to pressure from special interest groups.

Unfortunately, the current Administration believes that only Government can control and regulate the national economy and welfare.  The three solutions described above run contrary to their very belief and ideology and thus will never see the light of day under an Obama Presidency.  Additionally, with the current entitlement mentality persistent with approximately 50% of Americans, it is uncertain that they will be willing to give up anything to participate in salvaging this nation from financial ruin.

Left to the current  Administration, the burden will fall upon the middle class and elderly to sacrifice our standard of living to slow the steady march to the demise of the greatest Republic in the history of the World.

Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? Apparently the Democrats

by Jayne D. Frank

What do small kids do when they find themselves in trouble?  Blame their brothers, sisters or friends; anything to avoid repercussions for what they themselves did wrong.  Well our Congress is not any different.  They have dised the American  People, ignored their will, and in large majority voted for this health care debacle which will have deleterious effects for us, our children and our grandchildren for decades to come.  As a result, We the People have spoken – we will vote you out of office in 2010.

The Democrats have been scrambling for what to do about this, and voila!  The anarchists, crazy people and low lifers that are at the fringe of either party, gave them the perfect ammunition this week to attempt to  dissuade the American people from voicing their opinions any longer and perhaps stopping their attempts to replace the Dems in November.  These extremists emailed, called and one even took a shot at a Congressman’s office in the name of this health care vote, so out come the “Democratic talking points.”

They now are generalizing and calling the Tea Party and 912 movements “racist,” “hateful” and downright dangerous.

I for one left my business and my family in Michigan and went to the huge 9/12/09 Washington, D.C. protest and rally which saw about 2 million people put their lives aside to come to Washington to stand for 4-6 hours in the sun, before the Capital Steps, to say “No.”  I personally walked towards the Capital with blacks, Vietnam vets, people in wheelchairs, and  huge amounts of  young adults worried about the debt we were leaving them.  I talked to people in their 70s and 80s, some of whom came to Washington only weeks after knee and hip surgery, to make sure their voices were heard.  We stood with our hand-made signs, and there wasn’t a single incident in Washington of violence from these millions of people who stretched from the Capital to the Washington Monument. Afterwards, there was no trash dumped on the sides of the street, and in fact, the Capital Police said that this was the most respectful crowd that they had seen in a long time come to protest in Washington, D.C.

There are 340 million people in the United States, and a pretty solid 59% of voters, for the last 9 months, have been expressing their disgust and disapproval of the massive Government takeover of healthcare.  We went to town hall meetings, rallied in D. C. on little notice, met with our representatives, wrote Congress and the President, wrote blogs.  Often times, we put aside the desires of our kids to do what was right for them and try to make Congress understand that we did not want this Government-controlled healthcare bill.

We will not permit the dangerous fringe elements and the charges of “racism” from mostly the fringe elements of Congress, to deter us in our quest to turn back the spending, replace the Congressman who voted for this bill, and as Glenn  Beck advocates, restore honor to our Government.

Democrats, you only demean yourselves when you stoop to calling your American constituents names and we will do our job peaceably in November.   The new Administration is well versed in the Alinsky’s philosophy, one part of which is to manufacture crises.  We Americans pray to God that the Government does their job and pursues those truly perverted individuals who would threaten anyone’s life because of passage of a bill.
