Partisanship Has Become”The Politics of Personal Destruction!”

By: Richard H. Frank

The divide in Washington, D.C. between the opposing political parties and factions within them has become so toxic that compromise in Congress seems impossible. The political elites in both parties seem to have forgotten that they were elected by “We the People” to serve us and not their party leaders nor their ideology above all else. During their campaign for election or reelection they all proclaim that they are dedicated to improving the lives of every American and especially the middle class in this country. Yet every time legislation is introduced to do just that our representatives show their true colors and proceed to obstruct and block any progress from taking place in the name of protecting some economic minority from a perceived inequity that they may encounter. Truth be known, these spineless individuals be they in the House of Representatives or in the Senate are looking out for themselves and some special interest above their constituents. Immigration reform, tax reform and trade among nations are just political footballs that get kicked back and forth with no resolution intended on the part of Congress just to keep the electorate happy. In the end their excuse is to blame the other side of the aisle for not getting anything done.

In the midst of all this political posturing we see the ongoing investigations in the House and Senate to get to the bottom of Russian collusion in that 2016 election. There are so many committees conducting investigations I expect there is little time remaining to pursue solutions to America’s numerous problems by passing legislation to correct the mess our Government has created in immigration, the Tax Code and onerous entitlements for which our children and grandchildren have been saddled with.

Then there is the hatred for Donald J. Trump and the agenda for which he was elected. Democrats in the House of Representatives have introduced articles of impeachment against the President. These imbeciles need to read the Constitution and what constitutes “high crimes and misdemeanors “before making asses of themselves just because they cannot stand President Trump. It doesn’t matter that he has not done anything to justify their actions; it is that he just might do something in the future and thus must be deranged and removed from Office.

Thus far their attempts to slander him using the Democrat’s tactic of personal destruction have failed and the electorate has had it with those that pursue the “Politics of Personal Destruction”. Their method includes making accusations about their opponent which are baseless and proceeding to use the media to try to convict their target in the court of public opinion without regard to the presumption of innocence or a trial. The latest example of this is Judge Robert Moore seeking the Senate seat in Alabama being charged with sexual abuses that allegedly occurred over 40 years ago. Even Republicans have turned against the Judge and should he be elected they are threatening to refuse to seat him in the Senate. So much for our democratic institutions, the presumption of innocence and the power of the people in electing someone accused of a crime. Ever wonder why that logic didn’t apply to Bill Clinton who lied to the American people and was finally forced to admit his immoral actions only after his DNA proved him to be a liar.

Today allegations of sexual misconduct have been leveled against Senator Al Franken. Let’s see how long it will take for the Democratic spin doctors in the Senate to attribute his actions as comic relief with no harm intended. I guess if you are a Democrat even in the light of photographic proof of your actions all will be forgiven. Forgiven hell–he needs to resign today since his actions have been confirmed.

Then we have Crooked Hillary. Liar personified whether it be about Benghazi, her deleted emails or covering up for her sexual predator husband and trashing his numerous victims while being supported by a bias press.

Americans are sick and tired of career politicians, politics of personal destruction and a dishonest news media. Those who spend a lifetime sucking off the teat of government are prone to corruption and place themselves above the average American and view us as unworthy simpletons to be led by the elite ruling class in Washington and their bureaucrats across agencies never imagined by our Founding Fathers. The saying that “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts completely” has never been as true as it is today. The Obama Administration’s investigation of Hillary Clinton is a classic example of government gone amuck. Countless political appointees in the FBI, the State Department and the Justice Department should be prosecuted not to mention the IRS for targeting conservative groups following the rise of the Tea Party movement. But don’t hold your breath because the political establishment and the deep state will never let the facts be known or be presented to a grand jury for indictment.

Unfortunately for us, Donald Trump can not drain the swamp called Washington D.C. by himself. It will take “We the People” rising up and insisting on a Constitutional amendment imposing term limits upon Congress to keep our representatives from succumbing to pressures from special interests and eventual institutionalized corruption that exists in Congress today. The balance of power must be restored and both Houses of Congress mandated to work together for the American people. During the first 12 months of the Trump Administration the House of Representatives has passed over 300 bills and forwarded them to the Senate. Fewer than 85 have been brought to the floor of the Senate for consideration or a vote. This is an example of how 535 individual representatives are screwing 350 million Americans by not doing their job. You and I would be fired if our work record was as pitiful as that of Congress. With only a few legislative days left in 2017 you can bet that we will not see tax reform become a reality in 2017.

But after all as Mitch McConnell said about the President, “That’s not how things happen around here.” I guess our expectations are just too high.

Revenge of the Swamp People!

By: Richard H. Frank

Seven months have passed since Donald J. Trump was sworn in as our 45th President. The Libertyssong Blog has remained silent with regard to the circus created by the media, Democrats in Congress, the RINOS in the Republican Party and, yes, the Trump administration including the President himself. Charges of collusion with the Russians by the Trump campaign and the ensuing Congressional investigations are nothing more than a smoke screen and delaying tactic to prevent the administration from pursuit of the agenda for America upon which Trump was elected. Millions upon millions of dollars are being spent by the Special Counsel Mueller to pursue a which hunt in search of some infraction by anyone associated with the Trump Campaign in any manner whatsoever. Meanwhile the media has lost all credibility whatssoever with the public in their effort to overturn the vote of the people by publishing uncollaborated reports of unconstitutional actions taken by the President that rise to the level requiring his impeachment.

To make matters worse President Trump uses his twitter account to respond to the BS and loses the focus on that which is important to the American people.

The real scandal lies within the hallowed halls of Congress and rests squarely on the shoulders of the Republicans who for seven years shouted for the immediate repeal and replacement of “The Affordable Care Act” better known as “Obamacare”. All their excuses for being unable to fulfill their promise to repeal this disastrous law disappeared with the election of Donald Trump. Yet suddenly when it comes to putting their money (or future reelection) where their mouths are, they have choked. Whatever happened to all the plans they put forward when the ACA was being forced down the throat of those they were supposed to represent, such as being able to purchase insurance across state lines, making insurance transferrable from job tho job, and tort reform all of which were supposed to reduce premiums for the average American.

So here we sit seven months into the Trump presidency bogged down in Russian investigations for interfering in our elections, alleged collusion by the Tump campaign with Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton when it is she and her campaign that should be investigated for the numerous felonies committed on her behalf.

So let’s turn to the “Swamp People” for a minute. These are the Establishment in Washington D.C. that are members of the ruling elite class that includes members of Congress from both parties, agency bureaucrats, and government professionals. For these individuals Trump represents a threat to their very existence and power. They view Trump as an outsider having no business mettling in their affairs nor how they should decide to conduct the business within their own agencies. They will not only resist any form of legislation that moves the Trump agenda forward but will challenge every executive action in that liberal court system to block efforts to uphold federal law including immigration, sanctuary cities and law enforcement.

If you doubt the existence of the “Swamp People” just look at what has occurred in the Senate with regard to repealing Obamacare. We have the Freedom caucus, the Tuesday caucus, Rand Paul, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski the entire Democrat minority and don’t forget John McCain casting the deciding vote against a bill that was designed to forge a compromise between the House and Senate that allowed for amendments in an effort to give relief to those Americans that can neither afford the massive premiums or deductibles resulting from the Affordable Care Act.

Congress by virtue of the entrenched ruling class no longer represents the people that elected them. To hell with the American voter! They will tell us whatever we want to hear at election time and then do whatever the hell benefits themselves most when it comes to passing legislation. If you doubt what I am saying just wait until “Tax Reform” and “Infrastructure Spending” comes before them for a vote. I won’t hold my breath waiting for them to adopt the “Trump Agenda.”

It’s long past time for we the “American Voter” to “Drain the Swamp” and insist upon term limits in Congress. Four terms in the House of Representatives and two in the Senate followed by a mandatory one term interval before a candidate may seek reelection will do wonders to drain the swamp of corruption and dead wood resulting from an institution made up of professional politicians sucking off the teat of the taxpaying citizenry.

Although I don’t agree with all of Trump’s methods I do agree with the objective of his agenda “To Make America Great Again”.

Trump Delivers 1000 Cuts to Obama and his Administration!

By: Richard H. Frank

Just 30 days after the historic election of Donald J. Trump to become our 45th President on January 20, 2017 the President-Elect is proving how inept Obama and his administration have been for the past eight years. Obama boasted that he had a “phone and a pen” as the tools with which to conduct his imperial Presidency. The rash of executive orders and thousands of regulations imposed on the citizenry during his reign have been devastating to the American economy and the very security of the nation. Political correctness has reached its pinnacle where truth may not be spoken to power without the fear of reprisal and being labeled as a bigot or racist. “American exceptionalism” are not words to be found in the vocabulary of the Obama administration.

Yet today we are witnessing a movement, spurred on by the forgotten American led by Trump, aimed at restoring this nation to its former place among the leading nations of the world. The mantra “America First” can be heard resounding from the heartland of this great country. Donald Trump, even before he assumes the Office of President, has accomplished more by picking up the phone and calling business leaders and asking for their help to restore jobs than all the executive actions and regulations imposed by Obama over the past eight years. American voters are wise to the distortions and manipulation of data used by Obama and the liberal media to create a record based on lies regarding the Affordable Care Act, aka “Obamacare,” climate change and job creation under his watch. “We the People” are sick and tired of the corrupt Washington establishment and are watching closely as Trump chooses his cabinet and selects people who will take action in his quest to “drain the swamp” of the parasites residing in the hallowed halls of Government.

There are talkers and there are doers both of which aspire to make changes for the better and lead our Country. The major difference between talkers and doers may be summed up in a simple exercise taught by Dale Carnegie. It goes something like this: “I know men in the ranks who will stay in the ranks. Why? I’ll tell you why. Simply because they haven’t the ability to get things done.” Barack Obama should have stayed in the ranks as one that talks a great deal and accomplishes little. Donald J. Trump on the other hand is proving that he is able to get things done.

His agenda for the first 100 days in office is substantial and geared to pave the way for economic recovery, job creation in the private sector, infrastructure rebuilding, restoring our military and returning to a nation under the rule of law. Every action planned under his agenda is another cut of a thousand that will move toward Making America Great Again.

The Most Important Question Asked in Sunday’s Debate!

By: Richard H. Frank

The entire media, mainstream and others, seemed to miss the candidate’s answer to the question that will have the most long-lasting impact on every American, our children and grandchildren. At least they are neglecting to talk about it and prefer to focus on the personal attacks and scandals that occupy the headlines.

The question was, “What sort of people would each candidate appoint to open positions on the Supreme Court?”

Hillery Clinton droned on in her usual fashion about how the Republican controlled Senate refused to give Obama’s latest nominee a hearing before embarking upon a diatribe of issues including how Trump would appoint Judges that would overturn “Roe vs Wade” and Gay marriage and how her selections would overturn the “Citizens United” decision on campaign finance. She was quick to add that the Second Amendment would be tampered with to make mandatory background checks the law of the land.

Her priority was to appoint Justices having the same view as she holds with regard to “social justice” issues. She implied that her nominations would represent the diversity in America and not necessarily be confined to Federal Judges. Could this be she is referring to people like Obama or Elizabeth Warren?

Never once in her answer did she mention upholding the “Bill of Rights” nor did she use the word “Constitution”.

Donald Trump, on the other hand stated that he had put forth a list of 20 candidates all of which held beliefs in the vein of the late Justice Antonin Scalia that would faithfully discharge their oath to uphold the Constitution and not legislate from the bench.

Hillery Clinton has publicly stated her intention to continue the policies of Barack Obama. His strategy and policies were revealed in a book entitled “Obama’s Blueprint for America” and specifically pointed to his intention to make appointments to the Supreme Court with Judges holding “secular progressive” leanings. He stated in his run for the Presidency in 2008 that the Constitution was a “basically flawed document.” Thank God that the court has seen differently and reversed many of his executive orders as being unconstitutional.

Without the checks and balances enumerated in our Constitution this nation will wake one day to find we have achieved the status of becoming a “Banana Republic” under the thumb of a corrupt and oppressive dictator. Only “WE the People” can stop this from happening by exercising our “Constitutional” right to vote and elect representatives that believe in our “Constitution” as written.

Hypocrites Among Us!

by Richard H. Frank

The media feeding frenzy with regard to sexist remarks made by Donald Trump over a decade ago is an example of “Clinton’s Campaign of Personal Destruction.” There is no doubt that Trump’s remarks were crass and disrespectful to women and to anyone hoping to respect a leader with high moral convictions. Unfortunately, human beings tend to reflect attitudes prevalent during various times in their life’s experience. I say this having grown up and worked in circumstances not unlike that of Donald Trump.

Dr. Donald Massy’s book “What You Are is Where You Were When” sheds some insight as to how our beliefs and morals are established and ingrained in our thinking. This is not to say that we are racists or sexists or antisemites and cannot evolve and alter the effect of the environment which we grew up and matured within.

Now in the heat of the tightly contested election of 2016 with less than 30 days before we cast our votes, pundits ascend to the moral high ground to cast aspersions on the character of Donald J. Trump. Men like Geraldo Rivera, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan seek to set themselves morally above Mr. Trump expressing their outrage to evangelicals and female voters in particular. I challenge men like these to examine their own past and swear that they have never uttered anything akin to the words used by Donald Trump.

The left-leaning media and these men and their ilk will never accept Trump’s apology not because it is insincere but for a whole list of political and personal motivations. These individuals hold themselves up as devout Christians and condemn Trump as being without remorse or redemption. I would remind them of two lessons from the scriptures that they must be familiar with:

“Let he that is without sin cast the first stone,” and

“Judge not lest ye be judged.”

If you can search your soul and are convinced that the statements made by Trump in 2005 while entrenched in his business dealings disqualify him to be our President to take care of our big economic, terror and immigration issues, then you are either naive or a hypocrite. Those that oppose Trump will say that “words matter.” I contend that although words are important, “actions matter” even more. Think about that as you evaluate Hillary Clinton and her past as the alternative and prepare to cast your ballot on November 8, 2016.

D.C. Elites in Fear of Trump!

by Richard H. Frank

The Washington establishment of both political parties tremble in abject fear that Donald J. Trump may be elected President of the United States.

Their paranoia is evident by what they say to bring him down and what is unsaid in support of his policies. How dare this crass outsider attempt to enter our hallowed halls of government and challenge the status quo? After all, he is not one of the elites dedicated to a career of public service. This fact is undeniable and Mr. Trump has opened the doors to the hallowed halls of government and has shined a spotlight on the rampant corruption houses therein.

His detractors argue that his language and rhetoric is not statesmanlike and that he lacks the temperament to be President. However that language is viewed by at least half of the Country as the truth and they call it “straight talk” no matter how it infuriates the Washington elites in both political parties.

The current Administration and their Congressional supporters are at a loss to respond to his list of their failures extending back to the 1960s. Recovery of the past 8 years as a glowing success, their domestic policies and regulations have smothered small business entrepreneurs and driven large corporations to seek opportunities abroad. Obamacare is a train wreck and destined to die of its own onerous provisions.

Likewise, the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is a disaster that may never be reconciled with military intervention in the Middle East.

Yet we hear the echoing refrain in the hallowed halls of Washington shouting “Osama Bin Laden is Dead and GM is alive!”So say the Hillaryites and their minions.

Trumps words may not be statesmanlike and are painful to the Washington elites but they are representative of what most Americans believe with regard to our massive Washington bureaucracy. Corruption reigns supreme and the rule of law taken backseat to political expediency. If you do not agree with my statement, consider the Hillary Clinton email scandal and the sham investigation conducted by the FBI and an Attorney General whose Justice Department is complicit in dismissing any criminal offenses committed by Hillary Clinton and her staff. Had anyone reading this blog done anything approaching the admitted offenses disregarded in this investigation I guarantee you that you would be behind bars and not running for the Office of President.

Every agency in government from Education to Energy is sweating bullets in fear that Hillary Clinton, the Agent of this status quo, may lose to Trump. Every bureaucrat and Congressman making a career of sucking off the teat of Big Government is in fear of receiving a pink slip should Trump be elected.

Thus, the truth about a corrupt Big Government has been exposed and therefore the elites must resort to the politics of personal destruction, a game which the Clintons are masters at playing.

Hillary states that Trump has paid no taxes in decades due to a business loss of some $900 million dollars associated with his investments in the Atlantic City casino business. She is careful to avoid saying he did anything illegal but infers that he is a fraud when using his business empire as an example of his economic prowess.

She attempts to depict Trump as unAmerican and against our military for having paid no taxes yet she has no evidence to support her accusations. How can anyone that loses that much money be left to administer the Federal Budget? This from a woman that has not created a single job in her lifetime. Such hypocrisy from someone that has been a part of Government that has lost billions of dollars during each year of this Administration and doubled the National Debt.

Hillary’s plan to fix the economy and create jobs is to rebuild our infrastructure, become energy independent through solar and emerging technologies while in the same breath advocates legislating the Coal Industry out of existence and providing free college tuition to families living at or below the poverty level. How can she pay for all these freebies? We all know how – by taxing the rich.

Trump’s solution to our economic malaise is simple. Stimulate growth through tax cuts and elimination of onerous regulations that are job killers. He advocates elimination of government waste and provisions of the Great Society and the war on poverty extending back to the 1960s that reward individuals for not working and contributing to our growth, programs that have cost Americans trillions of dollars and have done nothing but create a class of dependance in our Country.

Should by some miracle Donald Trump is elected President his major obstacle against implementing his agenda will not be the Democrats in Congress per se but the elites, the professional politicians of both parties that have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. They see their vise grip on America slipping away as efforts to restore and honor the Constitution and return the government to the People once against are pursued.

The elites will raise straw men to create mistrust and fear mongering against change. Any move to honor the Second and Tenth Amendments and return power to the States will be met with fierce opposition. No more game playing with regard to upholding the law, immigration enforcement, defunding sanctuary cities and granting blanket asylum to unaccompanied minors entering our country illegally making them eligible to receive government benefits.

With every Federal Election, those running for office seem to forget that they work for us, We the People. Somehow Congress has switched from representing the electorate to representing special interests. Real change in 2016 means returning to a government of, by and for the People in order to restore this Nation’s greatness.

Hillary Clinton represents more of the same and maintaining the status quo for the ruling class.

Donald Trump represents Real Change. Change that Americans are looking for that may be our last chance to return to and save our Representative Republic. As Trump has said on his campaign appearances: “What do we have to lose?” The answer is we may lose everything America has always stood for! We owe more to our children and our grandchildren.

The Political Elite vs We The People!

By: Richard H. Frank

When the political back room ward bosses and Washington party elites possess the power to usurp the will of “We the People” it is time the electorate sends a message to those party leaders who are supposed to speak for us that it is “our will be done” and not their will.

IN 1776 Thomas Jefferson stated clearly in our “Declaration of Independence” the mechanism by which the citizens can wrestle control from any political party establishment and restore our God-given right to select those that will represent us in this Republic. Selecting candidates to run for the Office of
President of these United States must rest with Citizens of this nation.

Both the Republican and Democrat political party elites could care less what Americans believe and want in a candidate as evidenced by the rules imposed upon the nominating and delegate selection process by both parties. The establishment of the so called Super Delegate coupled with the rules of proportionality used in awarding delegates in many states leaves the will of the people subordinate to that of the party bosses and big donor class that supports special interests. These practices virtually ignore the will of the people.

Now we see the political establishment within the Republican party in full fledged panic, paranoid at the prospect that they are about to lose control of the nominating process. They will do anything to prevent Donald Trump from securing the minimum number of delegates to lock up the party nomination. Should they continue to pursue this action by any means available and derail the will of the people they do so at their own peril and at that of the parties very existence.

Likewise we see the same mindset on the part of Democrats who rely heavily on caucuses in the selection process and the rules associated with Super Delegates to the proportion of delegates available in various states, not to mention the impending indictment of Hillary Clinton for improper handling of National Security Information while serving as Secretary of State in the Obama Administration. Should the Obama Justice Department refuse to indict and prosecute Hillary Clinton, as would be the case with any other citizen of this nation that had done the same things the evidence shows Hillary did, it would leave little doubt that the fix is in and being orchestrated by the party elites and Barack Obama.

In either event we maybe witnessing the death of the two-party system in the United States. The wrath of the voters will come down upon both political parties should a brokered convention result in the Republican Party and refusal by the Democrat-controlled administration to enforce our laws and indict Clinton. Should the Democrat party and the administration bend to the will of the Clinton machine, thereby abandoning the rule of law and manipulate the candidate selection process by any means available to them the voter revolt will literally disintegrate the Democrat Party.

Additionally should Donald Trump or any other Republican nomination seeker abandon the Party and run as a third-party candidate this nation will move another step toward becoming a European Socialist Democracy governed by some weak coalition of political hacks resembling countries such as the U.K. and France.

Americans are fed up with the political elites, professional politicians and big donor class that comprise Washington today. The electorate is clambering for a true Washington outsider and a leader to take charge and rid our government of those forces owing allegiance to special interests and the Party over their oath to represent “We the People”.

The battle lines have been drawn between the Washington Establishment and “We the People”. Lets hope that Washington is getting our message loud and clear for their sake and ours.
