Having been a witness to countless speeches at the 2012 GOP Convention by intelligent, serious, substantive people about equally substantive issues of our time such as our economic crisis and our standing in the World, I wondered who might be appearing at the Democratic National Convention next week.
The contrast is so glaring and telling of a failed Administration and the desperate grasping for anyone willing to speak on their behalf. Most troubling is the fact that outside of the convention and with the blessing of President Obama, will be a prayer session and concurrent conferences headed by Grand Iman Siraj Wahhaj, who called America a garbage can and seeks a caliphate in the Obama Administration. This is a man who in 1995 said it was his “duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Quran.”
Other speakers thus far announced range from has-beens like John Kerry to Sandra Fluke, a student, whose popularity rose when she in essence told the U.S. Congress that the Government was responsible for making sure every woman got contraceptives for free. You also have Mayors of large african-american regions of the country, most of which are decimated by the unemployment numbers in the black community because of Barack Obama’s leadership failure. Actors and rock stars as usual have prominent speaking roles at the convention to attract the Millenial crowd because Barack Obama thinks young voters only care about their genius list on their Ipods and Iphones and will support his Administration for another four years despite the fact that they can’t get jobs.
You will see Chicago thugs and politicians throughout the convention whose only responses to the economic and unemployment crisis that Obama failed to fix, is to bad-mouth Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan who actually DO have plans for the next 4 years for restoring this country to economic and foreign policy excellence and strength. Rahm Emanuel, in particular, who is a real proponent of redistribution of wealth in this Country and said something to the effect of “Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste” (for promoting Obama’s agenda), also has a prominent speaking role.
The Obama campaign’s reaction to last night’s detailed and positive message from Paul Ryan? A memo circulated to all of its donors saying Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire, or who tweets “This seat is taken.” So undignified and unbecoming of a President that has a great deal of explaining to do to his 2008 voters. The campaign also has plans to allow people “from the community” to get chances to attend the convention, much the same as his “beer summits” and online beer contests the last year or so.
The contrast thus far in speakers, plans for each convention, substance and tone, could not be more striking and it is incumbant on every person who will cast a vote this November, to not only watch Romney and Ryan’s speeches as well as President Obama’s and look at the Democrat’s Convention for the ugly tone it will set. Americans must also be concerned about Obama’s unspoken endorsement for the presence of the Muslim philosophy for America, and most importantly, for what the Convention will fail to say and do about the next four years. A nation precariously close to being a total entitlement country is doomed to stay subservient to the Government and President Obama’s socialist agenda until each American citizen-young, old, black, Hispanic, poor, and middle class-understands the stark differences between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney’s visions for our future.
